How it works

Home office and playroom before de−cluttering and organising Home office and playroom after de−cluttering and organising

My most important aim is to make sure that you have a home that you love being in. A home that doesn’t cause you headaches and add stress to your already busy life.

Your first port of call then, in getting some much needed welcome space, is to book an initial free consultation with me. This helps me to understand what you want to achieve.

Then, there are a number of options, and between us we’ll decide what will work best for your situation:

I can visit you and spend approximately an hour and a half, during which we can explore ways to achieve your goal. Then I can leave you with a plan of action and some simple and effective techniques for achieving your goal. We can keep in touch by email and/or phone as you put the plan into action.

I can roll up my sleeves and help you de–clutter and re–organise. Working together, I can help you make decisions about what is staying and what can go, and then help sort things into containers for re–cycling, charity, garbage, specific people etc. We can then re–organise what’s left to ensure that it is easier to keep things tidy in future.

Home-Office
Working well at home is dependent upon having a space that works for you rather than against you. By understanding how you work, we can organise space and systems that support you in your work. This can include devising a filing system that will work for you and then sorting the backlog of paper accordingly. Once everything is in place, you’ll find that you can
work with a clear mind and be able to tackle your work with ease, clarity and renewed energy.

Did you know that de-cluttering can apply to time as well as physical space? 'Getting Back To Normal' is a light hearted article about how to organise your week to make the most of the time you have without feeling as though you are running a marathon! Read the article here

How long does it take

Achieving a sustainable result can take a little time, so our sessions are arranged by the half day (3 ½ hours) or full day (7 hours). We take breaks to recharge our batteries and we keep it fun and easy!

A half-day of three and a half hours can be long enough to re-organise kitchen cupboards so that, with everything where you need it to be, cooking is a pleasure!

In a full day of seven hours, depending on the size of the challenge, we can re-arrange a bedroom, sort wardrobes and create an oasis of calm, perfect for you to escape to at the end of a long day.

Two half-day sessions can be useful in a home-office where the first session is used to sort the paperwork, create some welcome space and start to devise a new system that works for you. The second session then can be used to introduce that new system.

Afterwards
We will be in touch again by email and/or phone a few weeks later to find out how it's going and to offer tips or solutions that can help maintain the welcome space we created.
